The project began in 2025 as a collaboration between the Mediation Association of Colorado, Find Solutions and Be Levelheaded to make community mediation accessible and affordable to cities and communities across Colorado. Mediate Colorado! officially launched in April, 2026 with two cities and is continuing to expand to new cities and communities throughout Colorado.
Mediate Colorado! handles a broad spectrum of local conflicts, including neighbor, landlord-tenant, HOA, and zoning or land-use issues. The program also addresses school disputes, civil claims up to $7,500, discrimination cases, internal workplace disagreements, and agency or police-community interactions.
Once a city is signed up with Mediate Colorado! their citizens can self-refer, or city staff can refer cases. Each case is assigned to a two-person co-mediation team with at least one highly experienced Lead Mediator, who first meets with each party individually to hear their perspectives and assess readiness for the process
Mediations are held either in person or via Zoom based on the participants' preferences. During the joint session, the mediators facilitate a discussion where each side shares their view to build mutual understanding, ultimately drafting a formal written agreement for signature if a resolution is reached.
Mediation is both efficient and cost-effective—saving time, money, and administrative resources—while reaching the root causes of disputes. Parties are empowered to develop their own solutions which makes for a stronger and lasting outcome.

Ali Katz graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a bachelor’s in communication. Following college, she got a job as a mediator with Find Solutions. Over twenty-five years ago we began resolving community conflict. It came in the form of neighbors fighting with neighbors, workplace incivility, businesses and how they impacted the neighborhood, civilian complaints against police, good neighbor agreements, zonings and historic designations. Find Solutions works primarily with municipalities and nonprofits. We help “People Talk to People”. In 2024 Ali took over as President of Find Solutions.
